some words of Iain McG - "I believe that we are engaged in committing suicide: intellectual suicide, moral suicide and physical suicide. If there is anything as important as stopping us poisoning our seas and destroying our forests, it is stopping us poisoning our minds and destroying our souls.

Our dominant value – sometimes I fear our only value – has, very clearly, become that of power. This aligns us with a brain system, that of the left hemisphere, the raison d’être of which is to control and manipulate the world. "

I have been following the mighty saga of Jordan Peterson, Rebel Wisdom, Paul VanderKlay, Jonathon Pageau, Paul Vervaeke, Paul Kingsnorth

et al since 2017 and my life has been enriched and sustained by so much wisdom and sharing while I live my hum drum life of solitude in a retirement village.

All those wise men shedding light on the problems of the world while a captive audience applauded.

After all the excitement what do we discover now?

Is it jealousy, pride, disappointment or fear of the future that causes a reaction like this from David Fuller?

Maybe plain old sadness that Ollie has gone tripping off into drippy hippy heaven.

Meanwhile those with a more healthy inclination are getting on with forming estuaries, building bridges and creating communities based on agape love.

See technology as the new nature and it makes more sense. We used to co-evolve with nature now we are co-evolving with technology.

But we can't keep up this tempo, which is why we are in a cultural singularity at this point. The information flow is too intense and we have lost connection to our own nature, and our culture can't update fast enough to soften the impact.

Instead the culture becomes teared apart and broken down till we are alone in the machine just like we started out alone in the nature. Instead of a culture to unite us and give us roles and purpose we are becoming delusional as a way to uphold our identity and ego. Which you might call secret sacred self.

Pride...always pride... Whether us or "powers and principalities", the Watchers, Cain, Babel...always pride...

Secret sacred self, self naming, self worship, ego... All saying the same thing... The Snake knew what he was doing and he and his lost friends have been using it against us ever since.

I was driving this morning and a love song came on it made me think of how love between 2 individual people is now the pinnacle of meaning for young people (and has been for a while). Can it bear to carry that much? Not if the divorce rates are any clue. Those marriages used to be embedded in community and meaning. Right now there is a push for a Marxian meaning to hold all things. I suspect that will fail also. Pageau has his relationships embedded in a symbolic meaning.

I suspect we will be wandering in the desert until we get it sorted out.
